How it works
Speed is the service
When a bill moves, a board meets or the mail drops Tuesday, you don't need a six-week agency timeline or a full-time hire. I've spent 9+ years inside trade associations, political campaigns and public affairs agencies, so I know the pace, the approval chains and what a fly-in or rapid response really needs.

Terms & conditions
Plain-language terms between you and me, Matt Maraist, the designer doing your work. Approving a quote means you've read and accepted them.
Clean, professional, on-brand design, fast. Not open-ended exploration.
Once your custom quote is approved and content is final. The intake form alone doesn't.
Two rounds included, each returned within 24 hours. They adjust the design; they don't start it over.
1The offer
You work directly with me, Matt Maraist — no account managers or hand-offs. I provide good, clean, professional design on a fast, fixed timeline, and the premium you pay is for speed and reliability. Each product is polished, on-brand and ready to use — not an open-ended creative process, multiple concept directions, or refinement toward a subjective ideal. Projects that need that are welcome as a custom quote on a longer timeline.
Catalogue prices are starting points. Every project receives a custom quote based on its actual scope before work begins.
2How the 48-hour clock works
- Submit the intake form with all content attached.
- Receive your custom quote, usually within one business day.
- Approve the quote in writing. The clock starts on approval.
Submitting the intake form alone does not reserve a slot or start the clock. Quotes approved after 2:00 p.m. ET on a business day — or on a weekend or federal holiday — start at 9:00 a.m. ET the next business day. The 48 hours run on business days (Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays) unless the weekend option is purchased. Delivery is by email or the client portal.
3Content must be final
Pricing and timing assume all copy, data, logos, photos and brand guidelines are complete and approved when you submit. If anything is missing, the clock pauses until it arrives. New or rewritten content after the clock starts may reset the delivery date or be billed hourly.
4What counts as a revision
Every product includes two rounds of revisions. A revision is an edit or adjustment to the delivered design: text corrections, swapping an image, adjusting color, size or spacing, moving elements, or small layout tweaks.
Not a revision: a new concept or starting over, redesigning the layout or structure, adding pages, sections or substantial new copy, or new sizes and formats. Example: redoing a 12-page report from scratch is new work, not a revision.
Each round is one consolidated list from a single point of contact, and edits are returned within 24 hours of receiving it (business days). Anything beyond two rounds or outside this definition is $125/hr in 15-minute increments, estimated first.
5Feedback window
Revision requests are due within 10 business days of each delivery. After that, the project is considered approved and complete, and any remaining rounds expire.
6Quotes & payment
Catalogue prices are starting points; every project receives a custom quote before work begins. Payment is arranged to fit your organization — card, invoice, purchase order, deposit or net terms — and agreed when you approve the quote. Card payments include an itemized receipt for expense reports. Rush and weekend fees are included in your quote, and additional hourly work is estimated and approved before it begins.
Final print-ready and source files are delivered once payment is received. Invoices unpaid after 15 days accrue a 1.5% monthly late fee. Retainers are billed monthly in advance.
7Cancellations & refunds
Cancel before the clock starts at no cost. Once the clock starts, your time is reserved and 50% of the quoted fee is due. If you cancel after the first design is delivered, the full quoted fee is due.
8Your responsibilities
You're responsible for proofreading and approving final files, the accuracy of all content and data, and legal compliance — including political "paid for by" disclaimers and permission to use any content you supply. Errors in files you've approved are not my responsibility.
9Ownership & portfolio use
On payment in full, you own the final deliverables. Unused concepts and working files remain with me, Matt Maraist; editable source files are an add-on. I may show the work in my portfolio once it's public, unless you ask in writing for it to stay confidential.
10Stock, fonts & third parties
Licensed photos, icons and fonts are billed at cost and governed by their own license terms. Printing, mailing and ad placement are not included; I'm not responsible for printer or vendor errors, or for color shifts between screen and print.
11Confidentiality
Non-public information you share — strategy, member data, unreleased announcements — stays confidential and is used only to complete your project.
12Right to decline
I, Matt Maraist, may decline any project before a quote is approved, for any reason, including content or scheduling conflicts.
13Limitation of liability
My liability for any project is limited to the amount paid for it. I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as missed events, deadlines or outcomes.
14Acceptance
Approving a quote confirms your acceptance of the terms in effect at that time. Anything not covered here is agreed with me in writing.
Terms effective Fall 2026.
Let's get your next piece out the door.
